How to make a complaint or request a correction to research published by CAQA Research, and what to expect from us.
CAQA Research aims to publish accurate, fair and useful sector research, and to put things right quickly when something is wrong. This page explains how to make a complaint about this website or our research services, how to request a correction to published research, and what you can expect from us. This website is operated by CAQA Research, part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International Pty Ltd initiative, for education, workforce and compliance stakeholders.
We accept: complaints about our research services, conduct or communications; privacy complaints about how personal or respondent information has been handled; accessibility feedback about barriers to using this website; requests to correct errors in published reports, statistics, charts or commentary; and general feedback or suggestions. Because no payments are taken through this website, there are no billing or refund complaints connected to this site; commissioned research engagements are handled under their own written agreements.
Email info@caqa.com.au; call 1800 266 160 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm); or use our contact page. Privacy complaints may also be made in writing to complaints@careercalling.com.au or by mail to 2/10 Lawn Court, Craigieburn, Victoria 3064.
To help us respond quickly, include: your name and preferred contact method; the page, publication or service your complaint or correction relates to; what you believe is wrong, with as much specific detail as possible; any evidence or sources supporting a correction request; and the outcome you are seeking. Anonymous complaints are accepted, although we cannot always investigate them fully or report the outcome back to you.
We acknowledge complaints and correction requests within five business days. Most matters are resolved within twenty business days; where an issue is complex - for example, a correction that requires re-analysis of source data - we will tell you the expected timeframe and keep you updated. Lodging a complaint or correction request is free of charge.
When a possible error in a publication is reported, we check the claim against the source data, methodology and assumptions used at the time of publication. If we confirm a material error, we correct the publication promptly and add a correction note stating what changed and when. Minor typographical fixes that do not affect findings may be made without a note. If we conclude that the published material is accurate, we will explain why. Superseded analyses remain subject to the point-in-time limits described in our Research Disclaimer.
If you cannot access content on this website, we will provide the information in an alternative reasonable format on request and use your feedback to improve the site. Our commitments, measures and current limitations are described in our Accessibility Statement.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate: privacy matters to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC); disability access matters to the Australian Human Rights Commission; and consumer matters to the consumer protection agency in your state or territory. Nothing in this process limits any rights you hold under the Australian Consumer Law or other legislation.
Complaints, correction requests and feedback are reviewed by the research team and inform our methodology, editorial checking and website improvements. Recurring themes are reported internally so that systemic issues are fixed at the source rather than case by case. Personal information provided in a complaint is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
